the titans wouldnt be in this situation had they been playing Locker the past few games for the whole game

  2. By Greg on Dec 25, 2011 | Reply

This is still a good chance. Baltimore is playing for a bye week and the Jets are playing for a wild card. If we win and those 2 other games happen the Denver and Oakland games are on in the afternoon. We would end up playing Houston twice in a row at there house if we make it and then have to play a rested Patriots team in there house too. Remember the last meeting in New England? IT’S PAYBACK TIME! Get them fired up Munch!! Go TITANS,RAVENS,JETS,CHARGERS, AND CHIEFS!!!

Really gd chance, We can win, Balitmore can beat cincy, and the chiefs can beat the bronx.

Titans Hav A Real Strong Chance..The Jets Can Def Beat The Dolphins..Now All I Need Is The Chiefs To Whoop On The Broncos..& Oh Yea Titans Need To Handle There Business Against Texans

Ok the way I see it Houston will take this game seriously because is a division game and eventhough they will rest Foster that will be after 2 quarters so of we can keep the game close we have a chance to win. That’s the most important part win boys the rest will take care of itself. We need to take care of our own bussiness. Can we beat Houston twice in a row at their place? of course we can but first this week win is very important

I didn’t see the scenario if Titans, Bengals, Jets, Broncos and raiders finish at 9-7 who will get the wild card spot? can anyone answer this?

I Think Muchack’s Head Coaching Job Should Ride On This Game If He Wins He Stays For One More Year If He Loses He Should Be Fired

  9. By Jman on Dec 26, 2011 | Reply

Why would they fire Munchak…? He has brought us from a 6-10 team to a now 9-7 or 8-8….Hes doing great at the head coaching position…..

Playoffs= Titans,Baltimore,Jets,(San Diego or KC) win OR Titans,Baltimore,Miami,Denver,Oakland win. The cool thing is both Denver and Oakland play in the afternoon so we know to go for them or against them!

How do you all really feel the Titans can make the playoffs? They loss the Sunday after the Bye week at home playing the Texans (41 – 7) and the sad part is the Titans didn’t show up. If they can’t show up after a Bye, how do you think they can win a playoff game. They also loss to a team that was 0-13 and is without their franchise player. The Titans are done for this yeas and need to do somthing to improve next year. No, Munchak should not be fired after 1 season as coach, but I do say that Bruce Matthews will make a better head coach than Munchak one day.

  14. By dusty on Dec 27, 2011 | Reply

Until the coaching staff realizes that CJ isn’t who he used to be and stop depending on him to run the ball all of the time the Titens will cont’d to lose. Jake Locker can play right now and give the backup to Matt. Ringer needs more touches and the defense needs to be more aggressive and show up every week not just when they feel like it.

  15. By Ryan on Dec 27, 2011 | Reply

Some you people just crazy..! Fire Munchak after one season and not even a losing one at that… If NFL teams really listen to fans on these blogs/forums, that would’ve taken a lot of Superbowl Rings away from a lot of head coaches.. LOL. Matt is our guy right now, he’s got the experience factor and he’s won big games before plus I feel if he had been in the game vs. the Saints on the last few plays in the redzone we could’ve won so take it easy on him…

JUST WIN WHO EVER IT IS!!!!!

  17. By BradleyB on Dec 27, 2011 | Reply

All will be for not unless we beat the Texans That has to be the main focus. The Titans have yet to play there best this year they need to pull it all together and win this game. Run game must be great and set up some play action. Defense play like they are capable of playing and we can win this game. Make T J Yates beat you not Foster!!!!!!!!!

  18. By Steven on Dec 28, 2011 | Reply

The Titans will take care of there business, if they show any type of emotion. Munchak will not be fired. If he is gone next year it will be becuase he went to PSU.

As a long time Luv You Blue fan, I witnesed some great Oiler squads; so much talent waisted because they could not get the job done. It all boils down to the bad Karma that Bud Adams has braught to his organizations.

It started with the firing of Bum Phillips and continued from there; the firing of Jeff Fisher being another ridiculous decision on the part of Bud Adams. I feel sorry for all of those Titans fans who want to see their team win. No matter who is coaching, no matter the player personel, expect a continuation of the draught until there is a change in ownership..

Why Cant Oakland & Denver Both Lose & The Jets & Ravens Win Along With The Titans And The Titans Get The Sixth Seed?

  21. By Kyle on Dec 28, 2011 | Reply

answer to above ^ denver and oakland can both loose and jets ravens win and titans get in . its just we only need one of either denver or oakland to loose cause regardless someone will win that division . so both of them lossing really isnt a senario

i believe TITANS have a chance to score some touchdown on the texans defense if the tennessee lineman’s hold on and dont let hassleback get pressure down the middle. let hassleback feel comfortable inside the packet and throw the ball DOWN to are tight end COOK. TENNESSEE defense is okay but could improve. TITANS corner back needs to be tight on the houston wide receivers, then stop runningback froster from gaining 100+ yards. Last by only thing, stop Y.J YATES from pulling a PLAY ACTION Pass. THAT is the main key Houston can pull off to gain yards. I still believe ON TENNESSEE TITANS !!! NO doubt

Those Luv Ya Blue days were the best. I remember when I was a little boy my father attended some function at the Astrodome with Bud Adams in attendance. My father brought me home a football signed by Earl Campbell, Elvin Bethea, Ken Stabler, Billy Johnson and others. It is something I will pass down to my son! To say I am long time fan of this organization is an understatement.
My opinion, as unbiased as I can be is that the Titans can play with anyone IF they come out in the 1st quarter with high emotions. This team has always played there best when they have high energy and can intimidate. They have a very good reputation that when you come to play the Titans you better bring your lunch and expect a full day of pounding football. This is what we need, high emotions!

I think the Titans has a good chance if they don’t rely on CJ to make the runs. Let him rest and till the playoffs but in the mean time the other backups does a great job.

  26. By Anthony on Dec 28, 2011 | Reply

The titans can win if they dont make dumb mistakes or penalties. The game against the steelers the titans drove all the way down field to the redzone then commited 2 or three penalties to get outta field goal range. They were never the same after that drive. Keep Hasselback in there until next year since locker hasent had much playing time yet.Locker is good and i cant wait til he gets the experience. Go Titans!!!!!

PLAY JAKE LOCKER ! WILL IF HASSELBECK DOESNT THROW A TOUCHDOWN PASS IN 1 AND 2 QUARTER, THATS WHEN TENNESSEE COACH HAS TO PULL OUT HIS HEAD FROM HIS ASS AND PLAY JAKE LOCKER. if he can move the drive versus the falcons and saints defense then put locker !!

You guys are dead wrong for thinking or wanting Locker in these type of games. NOTHING can beat experience in the playoffs or in must win games. H would have more than likely scored at the end of the Saints game in my opinion. I’m not saying Locker isn’t worthy, he will be a great player and asset for us. Just not yet.

  31. By joseph on Dec 29, 2011 | Reply

    steven – then what ?

  32. By Taylor on Dec 29, 2011 | Reply

Let’s be thankful for Matt Hasselbeck. He’s played outstanding this year for the most part. You guys are crazy to be calling for Locker. And I am a fan of his too. I think He’s gonna be amazing when he gets his shot. I say all this to say that let’s not forget who’s fault this really is. We are in this situation because of one guy, and that’s Chris Johnson. He is a non factor. 31st in run offense. That’s the real reason we are a middle of the road team. We are lucky we are in the position to have a shot at the playoffs.
And let’s thank the defense too, because they might give up yards, but they sure aren’t giving up a ton of points! Playoffs or No Playoffs, I am totally happy with this year. We all thought we were going to be one of the worst teams in the NFL at the start of the year. Let’s just be content with the fact that we still have a chance. WIN ONE IN HOUSTON BOYS!

  33. By Steven on Dec 29, 2011 | Reply

What do you mean Joseph? I’m just saying that experience is what you need in big game situations or the playoffs. Ask any professional player or coach and they will tell you that they will always go for experience in these situations. In a couple of years we will be saying this about Locker, hopefully. Just think this out. How many games has Locker started in his career? Now, how many has Matt started? Which one would you want if your on that team?

  34. By william on Dec 29, 2011 | Reply

I too want to see Jake get his chance to start. But not yet matt is STILL our best chance to win @ Houston . how many big time starts does matt have?? How many for jake??? how many games has matt won for us this year ,to every one that says “we wouldn’t be in this situation if locker was starting ” you’re right we’d all be complaining about being 4-11right now and blaming Munchie for not starting Matt. we all know jake will get his chanceto start , jake knows it ,matt knows it.just not right now

Lets not blame the QB here. Blame the 53 million dollar man. No running game for the first half of the season has led to this. Not to mention CJ has killed my fantasy team.

  36. By Anthony on Dec 30, 2011 | Reply

Not That This Is Really Relavent To This Particular Season But This Offseason There Is Gonna Be Some Big Name WR’s in Free Agency & The Titans Need To Go Get One!!!! Titans NEED To Become A Pass First Offensive Team Which Will Help Out CJ Do What He Does Tremendously. Titans Should Be Going Into 3 or 4 WR Sets Instead Of Using Two TE’s Each Play To Help Block For CJ. That Way Its Impossible For Teams To Put 8 or 9 In The Box To Shut Down CJ. Instead There Will Be A Ton of Mismatches, CJ Will Have Much More Opportunities To Make Big Plays & Reach That Second Level, And If The Titans Have Britt Another Big WR With Washington In The Slot And Williams or Hawkins In The 4th Spot Teams Won’t Know Who To Cover And Many of Them Will Have One on One Match Ups Especially Having CJ Out of The Back Field. Point Go Get Another Big Time WR!!!!

I didn’t see the scenario if Titans, Bengals, Jets, Broncos and raiders finish at 9-7 who will get the wild card spot? can anyone answer this?

IF that would happen according to NFL.com
If the Jets, Bengals, Raiders, and Titans all finish 9-7, which would assume a Broncos win, the Raiders would get the No. 6 playoff seed because of a superior strength of victory.

  38. By joseph on Dec 31, 2011 | Reply

@Steven. yeah hasselbeck has been playing way longer than locker of course. but if you havent notice, tennessee DEFENSE ranks the LOWEST on stoping the RUNS so the PRESSURE is gna be on the offense. so okay i believe hasselbeck should be quarterback but he has to SHAPE UP. when hasselbeck was wit the SEAHAWKS last year, he made it to the PLAYOFFS with HIS ARM but the game went to overtime and you know what happen next. he threw an INTERCEPTION which led to a SAINTS VICTORY. im just hoping he doesnt do any mistakes tomorrow :) POSITIVE MIND!

Much needs to go to Penn State so our next coach can start Locker.

  40. By joe on Jan 1, 2012 | Reply

All you folks saying to start Locker:

1- The reason he moved down the field so easily the few times he has played is because the defenses were playing soft, sometimes prevent defense until they got into the red zone. The focus was to let the Titans use up the clock. There’s still a LOT of things he hasn’t seen yet, and we want him to see those things in week 1 or week 2, not week 17.

2- Watch last year’s last game between Seahawks and the Saints.

  41. By Jason on Jan 1, 2012 | Reply

Raiders lose in a close game to the bolts blowing a lead showing the are still the same Raiders. Jets beat the Dolphins in a shootout, Ravens remind Dalton he’s still a rookie along with the Bengals, Titans beat the Texans 27-19 making the Playoffs with Chris Johnson running for more than 100 yards plus 2 tds and the Titans defense exploting Yayes inexperience producing 2 turnovers .
Like Cook said Titans need to start fast by scoring early.

  42. By Steven on Jan 1, 2012 | Reply

“Munch needs to do go to PSU so Locker can play” You have got to be kidding me! Some of you guys are about as logical about football as some of these Atlanta Falcon fans around here!
