Reynaud Turns in Another Eye-Opening Performance

Posted by Gary Glenn on August 17, 2012 – 9:28 pm

Darius Reynaud turned in another eye-opening performance for the Titans.

A week after scoring a pair of touchdowns in Tennessee’s preseason opener at Seattle, the running back  was at it again Friday night in Tampa Bay, rushing seven times for 75 yards, returning two punts for 49 yards, including a 35-yarder, and one kickoff for 42 yards.

Reynaud, signed as a free agent in January, is making a strong case for making this team.

“That’s how you have to make it,” Reynaud said. “My situation where I came from I have to take advantage of the opportunities that I get. So far, so good, but It doesn’t stop here. We have two more preseason games, so I just want to finish off on a good note.”

Renaud plus the quarterback mystery is actually making this pre-season very interesting to watch. I don’t remember seeing the Titans having this much potential deep into the roster.

Cant wait to see more of Darius! Lets not all get our hopes up though you guys. We all know how the Titans front office is. We need players other that CJ who have the playmaking ability to take it all the way. Its not about how fast or strong or even how high your football i.q. is. Its about the ability to go out there n make a play. We need those player to help build a confidence this team once had. A dominant defensive force with a offense that would hit you square in the mouth. Times have changed, yes, so lets build a new identity full of energy and passion. Darius would be a great fit. Lets knock em out

Keep Reynaud and lose Ringer, we can’t keep 4 RBs on the final roster.

The DR is in!!!! We must keep DR on the roster. I do not know who goes, but Darius needs to wear a Titans Jersey for many years to come.

Dnt be surprise if they cut him… They did cut leGarret Blunt …

We did cut Legarret Blount, but that was because he couldn’t help us on special teams. Reynaud can play special teams quite well so I don’t know if I would compare his situation to that of Blount.
