Tennessee’s Jared Cook ranks second on the team in 2012 with 291 receiving yards and is on pace to record 776 yards over 16 games.
The current projection would put Cook past his 2011 total and would rank first in franchise history by a tight end.
In 2011, his 759 receiving yards ranked second in Titans/Oilers annals for a tight end, trailing only Frank Wycheck’s 1998 total of 768 receiving yards.
Since the beginning of the 2011 season, Cook trails only New England’s Rob Gronkowski (1,683 yards) among all AFC tight ends with 1,050 total receiving yards.
His 14.6-yard average in that time period leads the conference and ranks second in the NFL (15.9 by Jake Ballard).
Receiving Yardage Leaders Since 2011 Among AFC Tight Ends:
1,683 – Rob Gronkowski (20 TDs)
1,050 – Jared Cook (5 TDs)
1,034 – Owen Daniels (6 TDs)
1,002 – Antonio Gates (9 TDs)
999 – Aaron Hernandez (9 TDs)
902 – Jermaine Gresham (8 TDs)
868 – Heath Miller (6 TDs)
828 – Dustin Keller (5 TDs)
648 – Dennis Pitta (5 TDs)
627 – Anthony Fasano (7 TDs)

When Cookie is healthy he is a beast. The guy doesn’t get the credit like these other TEs.This guy out runs DBs and safties. We need to continue to feed him the ball, most LBs can’t cover him. GO TITANS

Second in the AFC since 2011. Just think of the possibilities if the Titans would use him more. The Titans don’t use Jared enough. Yes, he is my favorite Titan so I am biased. But you have to admit that he has great abilities. With his vertical leap, agility and speed, he makes outstanding catches and plays. Add in his commitment & drive and you have a winning combination. Go Titans!
