Chris Johnson’s ascension from his early season woes has placed him in elite company.
His 736 rushing yards and 132 receiving yards give him 868 yards from scrimmage, good for fifth in the NFL and second in the AFC.
His total trails only Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson (1,107), Tampa Bay’s Doug Martin (1,039), Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch (991) and Baltimore’s Ray Rice (873).
NFL’s 2012 leaders in scrimmage yards (rushing yards + receiving yards):
1,107 – Adrian Peterson (Minnesota)
1,039 – Doug Martin (Tampa Bay)
991 – Marshawn Lynch (Seattle)
873 – Ray Rice (Baltimore)
868 – Chris Johnson (Tennessee)
847 – Arian Foster (Houston)
835 – Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis)
828 – Alfred Morris (Washington)
815 – Trent Richardson (Cleveland)
798 – C.J. Spiller (Buffalo)

Where does he stand among fumble leaders?

Franky….CJ has like 3 fumbles for the season, but Adrain Peterson fumbles way more than Mr Johnson. I believe this year is his 1st year that he has put the ball on the ground more than twice…. CHECK THE STATS…

CJ had only 1 fumble in his entire NFL career until the Bears game last week. The Bears are very good at punching the ball out and stripping the ball out. They got CJ twice last week. Still it wasn’t like he just dropped the ball, it was forcibly removed. CJ is no where near a “fumble leader”. He has only 3 fumbles in 4 years.

Considering his slow start, being in the top of the league is very impressive and makes the rest of the season even more exciting. Yeah CJ doesn’t fumble. Frank, your comment was an obnoxiously mindless jab.
