Sunday’s Performance Shows Britt Returning Closer to Form

Posted by Gary Glenn on December 10, 2012 – 12:11 pm

_2JR8270Kenny Britt looked more like he did before his season ending knee injury a year ago during Sunday’s 27-23 loss at Indianapolis.

The fourth-year wide receiver played with explosiveness, confidence and speed, notching the second-highest totals of his career in both receptions and receiving yards.

Britt totaled eight catches for 143 yards, recording his seventh career 100-yard receiving game and first of 2012.

The last time Britt reached 100 receiving yards came on Sept. 18, 2011, one week before tearing his ACL and MCL against the Denver Broncos at LP Field.

Britt recorded a pair of 46-yard receptions in the second quarter to set a new season long. Each of the catches led to field goals for the Titans.

Britt has worked hard to get back to the level he was starting to play at before his injury — and he’s the first to admit that he’s not back to where he wants to be. But based on Sunday’s performance, he appears to be getting closer to that point, and that bodes well for Britt and the Titans next season.
