The Titans’ dynamic return man was at it again on Sunday, returning a pair of punts for touchdowns in Tennessee’s 38-20 season-ending victory over the Jaguars.
Reynaud gave the Titans a 21-14 lead late in the first half on on a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown, the first punt return for a TD in his career.
Then, two minutes into the third quarter, he scored again on an 81-yard punt return, giving the Titans a 28-14 advantage.
Reynaud, who credited his blockers for both scores, set the franchise record and tied the NFL record with two punt return touchdowns in the same game. Only 13 NFL players had previously accomplished the feat, most recently Reggie Bush on Oct. 6, 2008.
“It feels good knowing where I came from. I never thought this would happen,” Reynaud said after the game. “I’m glad that it happened in the last game of the season just to give those fans something to look forward to for next year.”
Reynaud now has three total career touchdowns, and should certainly be in the mix for his same role next season.
