NFL.com/NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks released his third mock draft and has Jonathan Cooper, a a 6-foot-3, 310-pound guard out of the University of North Carolina, going to the Titans at #10 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Brooks says: “Coach Mike Munchak wants to alleviate the pressure on quarterback Jake Locker by surrounding him with a dominant running game. Cooper would give the Titans an athletic interior blocker with the size, strength and athleticism to own the trenches.”
Brooks has Alabama guard Chance Warmack (6-3, 320) going to the Jets at #9.
NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock told reporters last week that either Warmack or Cooper would be a great fit for the Titans.
“Chance Warmack from Alabama, I think, is the best football player I saw on tape this year, and Jonathan Cooper from North Carolina is just a tiny notch behind him — matter of fact, Cooper is probably a better athlete,” Mayock said. “If either of those players is on the board at 10, I’d jump all over them.”
