NFL.com: “Titans Crushing Free Agency”
Posted by on March 15, 2013 – 10:30 am
NFL.com columnist Adam Schein likes what the Titans have done so far in free agency.
In a column he wrote Thursday, Schein said:
“I love what Tennessee has done. I predicted guard Andy Levitre would sign with the Titans before free agency began on Tuesday. They needed him. There was a reason Chris Johnson told us the team’s line play was spotty on radio row at the Super Bowl. This is a fantastic upgrade. Johnson and Jake Locker will feel the positive effects. Johnson will get back to his dominant form.
Furthermore, Delanie Walker is an underrated tight end who fills the void left by Jared Cook’s departure. And Shonn Greene was hardly a featured back with the New York Jets, but he’s the perfect complementary player to push and spell Johnson.”
So far, lots of positive feedback for the way GM Ruston Webster and his staff have approached free agency this off-season. Aggressive moves out of the gate have filled needs early on in the process.

I have been absolutely thrilled with all the work we’ve done in FA so far this year, and have a feeling that we aren’t done yet either. I’m happiest about Andy Levitre and Sammie Lee Hill, but all of them ahve been good signings and will help our team immensely. Shonn Green will be a perfect compliment to CJ, just like LenDale White minus the bottle of tequila and the sack full of Krystal burgers. Wilson will be an improvement over Babs at SS, Delanie Walker can catch as well as Cook AND he knows how to block too. I still think we should pick up a FA WR, and probably another WR in the draft. GO RUSTON WEBSTER and GO TITANS!!!!!!!

Im excited about this up and coming year, finally the titans decide to spend some money and get good players through free agency, ive been saying this for years now, finally!
however,
im a little disapointed that we made more offensive moves than defense, when we had the worst defense in the NFL last year, in years. only added two players, an d they werent top notch, but their good.
what you need to do, is release michael griffin, he has a huge contact money wise and doesnt play up to it, release him have george wilson take his postition, and then get bernard pollard to play opposite of him. then with the freed up money you can afford to go out and get yourself a really good pass rusher wether it be a linebacker or D line, theres alot of talent out there still, and thats what we need. i still think we need a shut down corner, but thats not in our budget. maybe the draft?

john donahey the offense helped the defense look bad remember how bad the offense was poor defense was on the field twice as long longer than the offense but things are looking up once they finish rebuilding their offensive line with the 10th pick in the draft with them two new og s they will be awsome ol again

I just want to say how pleased I am with the moves,The philosophy behind them says that they are loading up for the run and short passing game wich is smart given locker still needs time to develop. The signibg of a fantastic young guard along with Walker who is a blocking/catching tight end along with adding green says the front office is putting together pieces that fit.I believe that Green will be used much like Lendale white was…a one two punch…and sense we are still upgrading our defense (ball control) or time of possession is wise….Kuddos to the front office and Coaches……Go!!! Titans

Moves have been solid however the depth in the draft at guard is fairly deep so guard is a better priority in round 2. I like trading back if the option presents or taking the top wr off the board because we are looking to release nate, britt is in trouble with the law again and could wind up suspended.

we need to get vince young out of free anget. we also need to complete the rb roster with lendale white so theire can be a samsh and dash . we also have some good rounds in the draft so in that case we need a quater to replac rusty smith need one saftey and more lineman because they got hurt to much also we need some more linebackers like zach brown in the last game also because we where thin they were getting hourt also the d needs to titan up.no ofense coach but you need to be a coach that gets mad when the team dose bad.

The free agent signings so far have bee a big boost to the team. I especially like the signing of Bernard Pollard. The Titans need secendary help and this guy is a good one. Not to mention his history with the Patriots. I love having a player that is not only not afraid of that bunch but will lower the boom on them. Good job so far Titans. Keep up the good work!
