Tennessee has built a 17-6 halftime lead on Indianapolis.

The Titans added a 25-yard field goal by Rob Bironas for a 17-3 lead against the Colts with 2:32 remaining in the first half.

The kick ended an 11-play, 73-yard drive that consumed 6:09 of the second quarter.

The drive included a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty against Robert Mathis on Ryan Fitzpatrick, an unnecessary roughness penalty against Cassius Vaughn on Justin Hunter and an unnecessary roughness penalty against Erik Walden on Delanie Walker during which Walden ripped the helmet off Walker then appeared to headbutt the Titans’ tight end in the face.

The three penalties moved the ball from the Tennessee 40-yard line to the Indianapolis 13, but the drive stalled.

Indianapolis added the second field goal by Adam Vinatieri as the first half expired to make it 17-6.

What, is this the 3rd game our Special Teams played a major roll in the Titans losing?!!! I just don’t get it……another season lost!

Maybe our new HC, whoever that may be, can deliver us from the embarrassment we’ve been suffering. I still think Gregg Williams is worth saving, and I wouldn’t mind keeping Shawn Jefferson to coach the receviers.

Hey addicted, personally I say let all the coaches go. We need to get totally away from the Jeff Fisher tree. As for Williams, he was a poor HC when in Buffalo. The formula the Titans’ brass employs simply isn’t working. In 40 years of the NFL we have one Super Bowl appearance, and haven’t won a playoff game in nearly 10 years. What other fans base would stand for this futility? As I always tell you, we need to demand better.

So who should we be looking at for a new HC, a current NFL coordinator or college HC? Do we fire the front office and scouting department? I think Rus Webster has done a good job drafting for us since he was named GM, how do you like Webster?

Addicted, personally I would look to an assistant who has not been a head coach already…We need innovation…And we certainly don’t need a retread. As for Russ, I say show him the door along with the entire front office. Look, our drafts have been mediocre at best…Our free agent signings have been mediocre at best…Leading us to remain in mediocrity. As I always tell you, we deserve better. We should be playing for titles rather than just the “HOPE” of making the playoffs.
