Ryan Fitzpatrick Finds Justin Hunter for Long TD

Posted by Craig Peters on November 24, 2013 – 5:25 pm

Rookie Justin Hunter gave the Titans a 13-9 lead over the Raiders early in the second half with a 54-yard touchdown from Ryan Fitzpatrick.

With Tennessee facing third-and-2 from its own 46-yard line, Hunter found an opening in Oakland’s defense near the Raiders’ 38 and made a nifty move to elude a pair of defenders. The speedy receiver then had an easy run to the end zone.

It was the longest career catch for Hunter and his third touchdown this season.

Oakland added a field goal with 1:41 left in the third quarter to pull within a point.

Congrats to both Hunter and Wright, I can’t remember the last time we had a game with two receivers breaking 100 yards. We need to address all those holding calls by the O line, that was just insane.

After having Hunter inactive every sunday, it’s about time he got his chance. I remember when the Eagles drafted DeSean Jackson. They give him chances early and quick and he was extremely successful. Fitzpatrick did a good job, but he had two fumbles, so I say Hunter deserves credit for that win. As I said before, use the beast or lose games…

I agree that Fitz has played well the last 3 weeks, but those losses to the Jags and Colts are going to come back and haunt us, especially comsidering they shouldn’t have happened. I’m most worried about our game at Denver, and it looks like our home game against the Cards won’t be an easy one. I don’t want to seem pessimistic, but I still see us finishing at 8-8 or 9-7, and probably missing the playoffs by 1 game as we did 2 years ago.

It’s just so frustrating to know that our worst loss of the season was by 14 points to the Niners, and all the games we lost by less than a TD after having the lead. 3 points loss to Houson after having a late lead, 3 point loss to Indy after having the lead, the humiliating 3 point loss to the hapless Jags. If we had those 3 games back we’d be leading our division.
