Getting Off to Strong Start Important

Posted by Gary Glenn on August 31, 2014 – 12:45 pm

Getting off to a strong start is important.

Over the past 10 years, six teams have a winning percentage of at least .600 through the season’s first month. Those six clubs have combined for 39 playoff berths and nine Super Bowl appearances, including four Super Bowl championships during that span.

The six teams with a .600+ winning percentage in the opening month over the past 10 seasons (2004-13):

New England: 23-8-0 ( .742)

Indianapolis: 22-10-0 (.688)

Seattle: 22-11-0 (.667)

Baltimore: 21-11-0 (.656)

Dallas: 21-11-0 (.656)

Denver: 22-12-0 (.647)

Regardless of how we start, can we finally have a double win season and win a Super Bowl? It’s kind of pathetic watching teams like the Saints, Seahawks, and Bucs enter the NFL long after us, yet win titles before us!

I was looking over the team schedule and I laughed.. I was comparing it to the Packers who played on Thursday night.. Throughout the season they face the Texans offense the Cowboy defense the AFC South the uncompounded Colts the Jaguars the Redskins, the Giants, the Chiefs, and the Bengals as well as an older Steelers and worn out Ravens teams.. Some people need to know when to jump in opportunity and Ray horton offense and QB guru coach with weapons on offense only question is depth of sides and line play… Why can’t this be an incredible year?
